Absolutely phenomenal. Best non-fiction I have ever read. It made me laugh tears about the way she describes (from our perspective) seemingly absurd philosophical worldview and and it made me physically revolt when it described the cruelty of, e.g., various excruciating killing methods.
It definitely shed new light on Rome for me and was extremely entertaining to read. Would recommend to anyone, even if you are not particularly interested in history.

Very interesting nonfiction.
Brings to light the difference in the mentality of the Roman er and the modern time, specially on how life, suicide, murder and natural deaths were perceived.
