This book was so intense and captivating. I couldn't put it down! The storytelling is done so well and the way it's written puts you inside Vanessa's brain. Vanessa as a character was so complex and I liked how the author explored a character who is not the perfect victim. It was also very "real fiction" and didn't have the most fairytale ending, which I appreciated. I would like to warn that this book was very depressing for me, so be sure to check the content warnings I tagged. If none of these trigger you, then I highly suggest you read this powerful book.
