Bill Browder
This is just one man painting himself to be the best person ever, despite having all the privilege in the world and making it sound like he had the struggle to get where he was. Couldn’t stand it.
Fascinating book about the corruption in Russia. Fast read. Disturbing and engrossing.

Horrifying yet inspiring; Browder shares how his lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was wrongfully arrested, tortured, and murdered by the Russian government and how Browder and countless supporters worked to get Sergei justice. May make you cry in a few places; definitely worth reading.

Inspiring story about a man who does business in Russia, begins to take down oligarchs, and immediately faces the wrath of them. After losing his lawyer tragically at the hands of the Russian police, he does not stop until he receives justice.
Browder is a beautiful example of dedication for justice. While he is afraid, he does not let fear stop him of achieving justice. He does not take no for an answer throughout the entire story, but especially in terms of justice.
This book was an interesting read in the perspective of a business major. I learned a lot about foreign relations, and to trust your gut when it comes to transaction and investments, as Browder did.

If all nonfictions wee this well written, I'd know a lot more about the world.
4.5 * Reads like a thriller. Such a timely book with the invasion of Ukraine. . A true story told from the heart. A remarkable story and tribute to Sergei Magnitsky.
