I read this as prep for reading a book about white supremacy that references it as one of the original texts codifying and inspiring white supremacy, and SHOCKER, it's all a bunch of white supremacist weirdness. It's just a guy describing a "pure" tribe of pale people who are violent and proto-capitalists. Honestly, it's totally worth the skim/read just to have the background to know what race and religion scholars are talking about. I read a free pdf on the web, so you don't have to get it from the library or anything.
