Älä jätä hyvästejä on tarina muistamisen tärkeydestä ja muistojen painavuudesta. Kirjailijalle tyypillisesti teoksessa käsitellään Korean historian hirmutekoja, tässä Jejun saaren kansannousua ja sen yhteydessä ja myöhemmin tapahtuneita joukkomurhia. This book was a wonderful book. Personally, it took me awhile to get into the book but I didn't give up because I really enjoy the author and her works. For a while, I felt like it was taking too long but once I arrived to Part Two of the book that was I was really getting into the book. The way to was able to bring an awareness of what happened on Jeju Island was well done. In my opinion, I think that the massacre should be talked about more often. As an American this should be an important part of our history and to make sure we never repeat this again. I just feel so angry by the fact that I had no idea about this historical event as an historical nerd. I truly think people should read this book and learn about the Jeju Massacre.
