This is the third book in Rob Rinder's series about young barrister Adam Green.
The stakes felt higher to me than in the previous two books, and the story kept up a good pace throughout.
Once again, in addition to his main case, Adam has taken on a pro bono case for Bobby Thompson, which involves a military court. I found this really interesting and almost preferred reading these chapters to the ones about the main plot.
This ended in a very much 'to be continued' way, so I look forward to the fourth book.
My thanks to the author, publisher, and to NetGalley for the advance review copy.

The Protest by Rob Rinder is book three in the Adam Green series but it can easily be read as a standalone.
Adam is now a newly qualified Barrister. Although he has, he own cases to deal with he has been asked to be a second on a high-profile case.
In June at the Royal academy famous artist Max Bruce is showing his famous painting ‘Primal scream’. Where suddenly anti-war protestor Lexi Williams throws blue paint over him. But little that she know that it is laced with Cyanide and Max Bruce drops dead in front of everyone who came to attend. Police straight away thinks it is an open shut case that Lexi is the murderer, but Adam and Jonathan is there to help defend Lexi.
In another court, Adam is also brought to a second chair when a soldier is court martial for murdering a civilian boy whilst serving in the war in Kandistan.
Yet again Mr Rinder has written another fabulous novel. With the blend of chambers life and his good sense of humour. This is a very enjoyable read. This has great likeable characters and an engaging storyline, and it shows how hectic life can be for a barrister. This is great edition to the series, and I can’t wait for more. 5 stars from me

The third in the series and the characters are really growing on me, even Jonathan shows his vulnerability, he's definitely a character you love to hate.
I love how Adam is always underestimated by his peers but seems to come up with the answers. His regular phone calls with his mum never fail to make me smile.
Despite being involved in a very high profile case of a very famous artist murdered in plain sight, Adam still has many cases to undertake, there's no let up for him. It's a great series.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an ARC of The Protest, the third book by Rob Rinder.
I have read all of the books in the Adam Green series so far, and enjoyed them all. However, I did feel this wasn’t as gripping as the last 2.
I think the army storyline was the best of the 2 cases that Adam was involved in this time. I enjoyed that more, but still was happy to be swept along on the #blueface wave as well.
Easy to read, good writing and not too long chapters. Overall, an enjoyable novel to get stuck into. I look forward to seeing Adam in book number 4!

I would like to thank Net Galley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Poor, poor, poor Adam Green - 4*
Adam Green, what a time you've had... Adam Green is put through the ringer in Rob Rinder's third instalment of his Adam Green series.
First, I want to thank this book for allowing time to pass quickly. I've had to do MANY train journeys in the last two days, which causes time to stop... and this book allowed time to fly so I truly appreciate that.
I really enjoyed this book, but perhaps not as much as previous ones. Despite this, I did really enjoy it. I found the ending to be a tad disappointing but that's only because I like things tied up in a nice little bow and that's not real life.
Adam is still Adam but I feel the pressures of working at Stag Court and the repetitive cycle of cases and prosecutions have really gotten to him in this book. As always, I appreciate the phone calls with his Mum. She is one of my favourite characters.
I will absolutely read the next one because I would like a resolution to this book…but also the Adam/Georgina dynamic… will they, won't they? I NEED to know the resolution of that.
I feel this series has a lot more books ahead. The Adam Green series continues to have complex plots and strong characters. Overall, an enjoyable read.
