Slow read so I sort of stopped paying attention to just finish it and I think that worked against me come the ending and the late “ultimate reveal”… I was left confused bc I burned through it to get it read and also bc author leaves us on an edge

The Trap by Catherine Ryan Howard is an intense and clever thriller with a gripping premise that had me hooked from the start. The plot, inspired by true crime, is expertly crafted, keeping the tension high and the mystery compelling throughout. However, while I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns, the ending left me feeling a bit unsatisfied, as it didn’t quite deliver the payoff I was hoping for.
