1.5*

There were a few good one-liners. Rue seemed interesting, though underdeveloped as a character.

Eli’s chapters were repetitive and boring. He was repetitive and boring. I didn’t believe the (sparse) chemistry between these two.

The double POV was a huge mistake IMO.

Not in love, you say? Maybe she’s big and he’s tiny?

This book?????? Spectacular, wonderful, amazing. I genuinely cannot fathom how Ali Hazelwood blows me away every single time. The way these men are so down bad for their girl I just… UGH. I also really loved watching Rue grow out of her shell and fall in love. I definitely feel like there’s a level of neurodivergence w Rue and I LOVED the representation without every chapter bringing it up. It did not matter to Eli in the slightest hes just so fucking in love with her. I love it here.
