"Loveless" is my favorite book that I've read this year so far. It's magical, I read a few pages and made myself deliberately read slower than usual to take in all of the details, all of the feelings and emotions that the author describes so fittingly. It is one of those coming-of-age novels that doesn't feel very contrived or cliché, but instead tells a story in such a raw, beautiful way that makes you fall in love with all the characters and want to root for their success. I love that it's a book about exploring sexuality, societal expectations, life, and friendships. I loved the five characters: Georgia, Rooney, Pip, Jason and Sunil. I really loved Georgia and her exploration of her sexuality, her struggle to conform to societal expectations on sexual experience and her love for her friends. I also really loved Rooney, who struggled deeply in a very different but not so different way, her outgoing and bubbly persona as opposed to the version of herself that was very lonely and didn't believe she was worthy of affection. I cried when I read about the college proposal, when Rooney spoke her raw monologue about her friendship with Georgia, and when their Shakespeare Soc performance was completed. It was so very lovely, and the message was incredibly heartwarming: friendship is love!!! This book made me cry so much, I love it!!! 10 stars all the way!!!

"I used to dream of a spellbinding, endless, forever romance. A beautiful story of meeting a person who could change your whole world. But now, I realized, friendship could be that too."

"But I'm older now, I've learned some things, like the way friendship can be just as intense, beautiful and endless as romance. Like the way there's love everywhere around me - love for my friends, there's love in my paintings, there's love for myself. There's even love for my parents in there somewhere. Deep down. I have a lot more love than some people in the world. Even if I'll never have a wedding."

I only recently found out that i was aro-ace, and everybody made me feel like there's something wrong with me or i was mentally ill, or that i was just exaggerating and how the internet is putting nonexistent ideas in my head and one day surely i'll find someone.. I hated myself for a while.
Now i really don't give a sh*t about what people say. I'm happy with myself. I just wish people would acknowledge Aromantics more. Love to find more Aromatic rep as main characters and not just on the side.

"I Was hopeless about being like this for a long time, but i'm not any more. Finally. Finally i'm not hopeless any more."

This book was actually amazing! You could tell this was a very personal story for Alice Oseman which made it that much more enjoyable. I LOVE the friendship group in here Alice always seems to get that perfect for me! Now I’ve read all her books woohoo!! Some scenes were a bit slow so that why it’s not a 5 star but overall this book is wonderful. I would say my top 3 Alice oseman books in order would Radio Silence, Loveless, and I was born for this. Also I noticed the little Easter eggs to her other books in this one, I appreciated it immensely.

I just couldn’t gel with this book. I get why it’s important and all but I just did not like it, mostly as the protagonist just annoyed me. Yay that it exists as a book as representation is important but it just wasn’t my thing. It might be your thing though so give it a chance!

This book was pretty enjoyable, but also a little bit overrated. The message in it (though repeated often) is great, and I completely understand why it would be a comfort book for some people. I love the representation and I liked the characters too. It was relatable and gave me a small identity crisis, and I think it can be helpful to people struggling with their sexuality. It openly talks about sex without it being an erotic plot point, which should be done more in my opinion.

However, I think the writing is mediocre. Everyone felt really immature despite being university students. They fix all the fights with grand gestures and make a huge deal out of everything instead of properly communicating their feelings. I understand it's a YA novel, but that's not really my thing. These fights were major plot points and it got repetitive, as there was not much else going on.
