So much potential but it just didn't live up to my expectations. The bones for an amazing fantasy series were there but things that should have been expanded upon were rushed through and things that should have been short had a lot of time spent on them. There were a lot of awkward info dumping that even the narrator acknowledges seems weird which just makes it even more obvious. Really disappointed because this seemed super interesting.

I did not like the characters and their relationship. The FMC pissed me off and was in my opinion quite stupid. Also there were some spelling mistakes and plot mistakes.

Spice and sass…… I think that’s the best way to describe this book. Our female protagonist had a bumpy start but came into the character I think we need her to be … but the ride is fun and the spice is there ! I will be continuing with the series - can’t wait for the next book!

It's very readable. Not a masterpiece but enjoyable. I wasn't mad about how the ML treated the FL but i assume it improves since it's a large series.
