🇸🇪 Jag har lyssnat på ”Allt jag önskar mig” av Grégoire Delacourt.
Boken handlar om Jocelyne, även kallad Jo, som driver en sybehörsaffär i Arras. Hon lever ett stillsamt liv med sin man Jocelyn, även kallad Jo. Det är väldigt förvirrande att de har samma namn. De har två vuxna barn tillsammans. För nöjes skull skriver hon en blogg kallad ”10 flinka fingrar” där hon skriver om sömnad, spets och pärlor. Bloggen blir väldigt omtyckt med allt fler besökare.
Plötsligt en dag förändras hela hennes liv när hon vinner 18 547 301 euro på Lotto! Hon löser inte in checken direkt utan funderar länge på vad hon ska göra med alla pengar och hur hennes liv kommer förändras. Hur kommer hon och de i hennes omgivning förändras när hon plötsligt är mångmiljonär och kan uppfylla alla sina närmastes högsta drömmar?
Boken fick mig att fundera på vad jag själv skulle göra om jag vann över 18,5 miljoner euro. Det är oerhört mycket pengar. Jag hade definitivt byggt mitt egna och min familjs drömhus och delat med mig till min familj. Vad skulle du göra om du vann nästan 200 miljoner kronor?

The book is about Jocelyne, also called Jo, who runs a dressmaking shop in Arras. She lives a quiet life with her husband Jocelyn, also called Jo. It's very confusing that they have the same name. They have two adult children together. For fun, she runs a blog where she writes about sewing, laces and pearls. The blog is very popular with an increasing number of visitors.
Suddenly one day her whole life changes when she wins € 18,547,301 on the Lotto! She spends a long time thinking about what to do with all the money and how her life will change. How will she and those in her surroundings change when she is suddenly multi-millionaire and can fulfill all her closest dreams?
The book made me think about what I would do if I won over 18.5 million euros. It's a lot of money. I had definitely built my own and my family's dream house and shared the money with my family. What would you do if you won that amount of money?

This is a simple and short story written with thought and realism. It is the longing for desired and dreams that keep us going. Through Jocelyn, a very unique and realistic protagonist, we navigate the discussion around, 'Can money buy happiness?" This a very short read the kind of book you'd read on a train journey. The simplicity and the diary like format is quite appealing. Although it didnt have that much of an impact on me personally, I'm sure there's someone out there,for whom this book is written.
