Probably the best introduction and summary to personal finance and investing.
The only complaint I have is how US-centric it is, but it just means skimming through a few chapters on 401k/IRA/Vanguard, but 90% is internationally applicable.
All this information and more is also available for free on the author's personal blog; this is just a compilation.

Let's say 3.5 stars. Enjoyable to read & some good general advice, but a lot more US-specific than I had expected. To someone in the US, I would highly recommend it since it's so hands-on. As someone from Europe though, I preferred the book "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel since it's more general.

Recipe for success? Keeping it simple! This goes both for this book (clear, to the point and easy to understand) as well as for investing.
Loved the dry humour and the author's thinking and investment philosophy. A few chapters were not as relevant for me being based in the UK but overall excellent read that I would totally recommend.

For anyone scared or overwhelmed on how to invest (and what that actually means), this is a must read. He is very matter of fact and gives you just enough information to have it make sense.

I dig it.... I believe in the advice given and it is the easiest reading personal finance book I have read to date.

I wish I’d had this book 6 years ago when I got my first retirement account. It would have changed everything.

Had some good points, but not entirely realistic for the world we are living in now. I can’t invest 50% of my earnings and still save for everything else I want in life. I also think there’s ways to get your money to work for you without only investing in the market. But had some good descriptions!

When people ask me for one book that will help them understand investing I always recommend this one. It's entertaining, written in common language and does make investing seem quite simple.
