Why would you stop writing when the story picked up???

“We all play a role, and it would astonish you, I think, to know how helpful I am being.”

Boy this one hurt. I absolutely loved every single second of it. Now I need more of Sister Emilia and of the Iron Sisters in general because we never get to see them! I also appreciate that we finally have some sort of connection to TDA because I thought that was the whole point of this collection?

The only problem I had with this one is that it took me around 20 minutes to read? Excuse me? Why’s this the shortest yet (maybe) the best one thus far?

I LOVED the part with Will that alone would've been a 5 star, but the rest of the novella was really boring.

This was boring as hell, but the writing, as always, was good.

I would have given it a 4 out of five because it was just slightly boring at the beginning, as much as I would have loved to read more about someone becoming an iron sister. But I have to give it a five because of the ending. I cried quite a bit. Any moment with Will and Jem is 5/5 always for me

2018 review:

jem when literally ANYTHING happens: "wow, this reminds me of will and tessa. i love them so much."

(the most boring novella so far, but the ending was good)

the most interesting story from Ghosts of the Shadow Market so far, in my opinion. I flew through this and I love Sister Emilia so much! The only problem I had was that some of the speech felt forced and unnatural, and when they were talking to the little boy, the things he said were obviously put in to move the plot along, but it didn't feel seamless and felt a little bit lazy in the writing.
