I’m usually a fan of Mary Connealy, but not this one. I didn’t like either of the main characters. Their relationship seemed toxic to me. I mainly kept hoping the main characters would stop acting like emotionally stunted teenagers. There were a few sweet, tender moments with the children that helped engage me in the story.
