I thought this book was a great spin on the fallen angel idea, though it didn't leave me on the edge of my seat, nor do I really feel the need to go pick up the next book in the series. The main character, Anna, is very innocent, has super senses that she tries not to use to seem normal, and feels an extreme pull towards drugs and alcohol. Anna ends up falling in love with super hot, drummer boy, Kaidan. Kaidan is the angelic equivalent of Twilight Saga's Edward, going hot and cold with Anna for very similar reasons. There was also the beginning of a love triangle for those of you who enjoy those. There were many points in the book where I disliked Anna's attitude, but others points where I didn't. At the same time, I can say that I did not appreciate Kaidan's attitude at all, and he has the makings of another stereotypical love interest. I enjoyed the author's creativity, though, and I think that's what pushed me toward the end. So, for those of you who are interested, happy reading!
