I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to read this book! Holy crap, my fantasy romance exhaustion is now gone. I love the book. I enjoyed how well the world building was just the right of informative and entertaining. Estrella and Caldris are fantastic and their chemistry together is just perfect. I can’t wait to start reading the next book!
World building and writing were both mediocre, and the love story was like a 0-60, then another 60-120 or something w the ML becoming like VERY possessive and like kinda stalker-y??
A LOT happened in the last 10%. I know this is a series but even still it was just not well balanced.
Foreshadowing was VERY heavy handed.
ML was one dimensional and his main personality trait was his obsession with FL; FL felt like a pick me. Sigh.

I really enjoyed this book. Overall, the story line was well thought out and written clearly. The reason I changed my rating to four stars instead of five is because the plot twist at the end of the book was very predictable. I guessed it from about halfway into the book. It was still a treat to see how it all panned out. I am looking forward to the next book. I can't wait to see what lies ahead for Estrella now that she's stuck in this predicament.

I thought this book was slow at first but then I started truly enjoying it. I loved the bantering between Caelum and Estrella. This kinda gave me From Blood and Ash vibes but with Faes, etc. It also left me with a cliffhanger which I will have to get onto the next one here pretty soon.
