Loved the progression from book 1! The only reason I took away .5 was because of a certain scene - it was romance related though and not any of the gore from the horror aspect of the plot, just as a disclaimer!

My mind is blown-away

3.5

The things I loved about book one are missing for book two for me. This isn’t bad, though it didn’t hook me like book one.

Def love the narrators for the audiobook!

Trisha Wolfe has done it again, pulling me right back into the dark and twisted world of Hollows Row! From the very first page, I was completely hooked, unable to put this book down as Halen and Kallum continue their relentless pursuit of the Overman and the elusive Harbinger killer. The tension, the mind games, and the psychological depth kept me on edge the entire time. I especially love how Wolfe weaves philosophy throughout the story, adding layers of complexity that make you think while keeping the suspense razor-sharp. The blend of gripping action and intellectual intrigue is masterful. I cannot wait to see where this series takes us next!

This second installment in the Hollow’s Row series is like sipping a dark cocktail—equal parts intrigue, passion, and a splash of philosophical madness. Oh, and laced with some kind of hallucinogen, because this book is hypnotic, unsettling, and impossible to put down.

And let’s talk about the thriller plot—because wow. I did NOT see that twist coming. Like, what, bro? If you’re looking for a book that’s heavy on smut ( like 3 chapters), this isn’t it. But if you crave slow-burn tension that crackles with every interaction, then buckle up. The push and pull between Halen and Kallum is addictive. And the obsession—my ultimate reading red flag—is dialed up to dangerously delicious levels. Somewhere between the mind games, Nietzschean pillow talk, and emotional unraveling, I had an epiphany: I might just be a psychological romance girly now.
