Honestly, I’m disappointed.

I enjoyed it at the beginning and even had a proper LOL moment, but their unnecessary hatred from nothing really took me out. Plus where was the real conflict?

the MMC picking up the daughter from a drunken house party VS  arriving on time to their date?

There is so much that could have been and should have been explored such as MFC’s  ex, or his ex.

Everything felt rushed and therefore so out of left field.

This was an audiobook that I listened to from the Stuff Your Earbuds day and was thoroughly excited to listen to it.

I think the story line was good - it’s a classic “enemies to lovers” trope and “close proximity” and the story fell right into all of the normal/typical romance tropes. I think the storyline was interesting but I feel like the author sort of rushed the ending so that they could tie it up in a pretty bow and leave the audience hanging - but rather this book made me slightly irritated with the ending because it was rushed while there were other elements in the book that I felt could have had more explanation or time spent into them.

A lighthearted romantic comedy with some surprisingly hard-hitting moments.

Both protagonists were insufferable and likable in equal measure. And the plot was a fun and interesting one.

An easy read and good palatte cleanser of a book.

I absolutely HATE the FMC and don’t see how that would change or how I‘d ever root for the couple….
