this was so so so so cute!! and perfect for spooky season! very much sapphic goblet of fire vibes! i loved the chemistry between talia & emmy, but i wish there was more about their relationship :/ regardless, i really look forward to the next book!! anything witchy has my heart <3

With all the magic I'm not sure why so many characters need to be alcoholics. Almost every scene had alcohol in it. It felt very unnecessary to me.

Nope.

I wanted to DNF this book so badly, it put me into such a reader's slump.

I was so excited when I read that the book was similar to "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina".....sure the show is cringe at times, but it's also really dark, fun, and sexy. "Payback's a Witch" was just....cringe.

Also, how many pop culture references do we really need? Why is the FMC so pathetic and unlikable?

I'm sorry but this was a really tough read, it was just so boring --a real drag.
