Loved this, but did no one notice that the officiant in a baseball game is an umpire, not a referee?

What a wonderfully quirky, charming book with a cast of characters I already miss spending time with.

4.5 stars! Abbi Waxman is quickly becoming a favorite author for me. I love her style of writing- it's funny, entertaining, and I like how you get a little bit of everyone's perspective. My only complaint is that it took FOREVER for Laura and Bob to get together- it was almost was too long. Other than that, I really liked this!

Really good book! I love the title and how relatable the characters were. Did feel a little slow at times though.

Sweet, gentle, and comforting. And there's a part of me who wants to go live in Maggie's house.

3.5 stars.

I don't know what it is about Abbi Waxman's books, they're just so comforting somehow!

I hope there's a third one where Polly and Nina are the main characters. Their difference in personality would be very entertaining!
