‼️READ THE TW, READ THE TW, READ THE TW, READ THE TW‼️

1st off, this is a first Pam Godwin book I have read, and boy did I pick a blinder.

What a f**king book, I am lost for words. I have never read anything like this, think I’m still in shock.

This book was DARK!!! It was HEAVY!!! It was MESSED UP!!!! And it was also SAD!!! That ending, omg, my heart dropped.

I started it reading this and hating every male, then as I got know 3 of males background and stories, my heart felt so sorry for them. DENVER AGAIN CAN GO EAT

DID NOT FINISH: 47%

I got aggravated at the dancing around the bush and NOTHING is given straight in terms of motivations or background story. Also - structurally speaking, super short paraphs where most of the book is a ONE sentence paraph. Lack of ... emotional depth, or poetry. (In comparison to Green Light into which I jumped following my inability to finish this one). The preferential treatment of characters and not enough chapters for Wolfson, who is the funniest character in the book. Overall - just dancing around stuff and Not being able to give anything straight burned me.

This book made me sad. A lot of the people loved it so I thought yessss absolutely need to read it. I skipped all the sex scenes none of them even remotely worked in my eyes it just didn't feel real. I skipped so much of this book

I sometimes don’t enjoy dark romance because I feel like the story exists just for the spice but this was so well done! The plot is the star with the spice being an addition to the story. This was suspenseful, thrilling, heartbreaking and emotional.

Should you choose to read this book, please heed the CW’s.

My review for this book started off very different. I was going to come in and say that this was just a complete mess and the cover is so pretty but the story is trash. I’ll be honest, I was feeling like that for about the first 51% of the book. Things definitely picked up during the second half. I mean the plot hit a real crescendo, but I still have conflicting thoughts. When I finally understood what was really going down in Hoss, everything clicked. And that cliffhanger…🫣

Pam Godwin's character-building is beyond incredible, and the narrators really brought the characters to life!

The heartache and pain, along with everything else the tortured souls went through, were voiced absolutely amazingly. I finally am getting around to listening to the trilogy because I knew I had to. These are CLIFFHANGERS! Be warned.
