Holy hell! This book! Have you ever started reading an advanced copy of a book, only to buy the book even before you're done? Yes, it's that good! HILLS OF SHIVERS AND SHADOWS is a beast of a book but I could not put it down! It's super suspenseful, primal, and twisty!
I highly recommend going in "blind." You're going to have a lot of questions as you read the book, but it is so so satisfying as everything starts to unravel and the answers come bit by bit. The ending will make your jaw drop!
I'm a sucker for books that are set in Alaska, and this book was super atmospheric. I loved all of the characters, especially Frankie, as she was an absolute spitfire, and the three MMC's. Leo, Wolf, and Kodi are all so special and unique in their own way and very loveable.
This book checks all the boxes for me. The plot is fantastic, the spice is excellent (and dare I say feral?!), and the MC's are well developed and have so much depth to them.
At first glance, you may think that the book is a typical romantic suspense, but it's way more than that. I encourage you to read the book and see for yourself. HILLS OF SHIVERS AND SHADOWS is really a twisted game and it's about survival of the fittest. I cannot wait to read book 2, Cage of Ice and Echoes, which pubs on April 23!
Thank you so much, Pam, for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!

This is a seriously messed up book but I couldn’t put it down. That said this is not a romance, not even a dark romance. This is a psychological thriller that has some romance in it (if you want to call it that).
I cannot stress enough that you need to thoroughly check out the trigger warnings and be completely aware of what you’re getting into before starting it. I wasn’t personally triggered but I was disgusted and horrified through a good portion of it. Didn’t stop me from devouring the book as I was invested in finding out what happened.
It’s a wild ride and the ending sucked, but also there was no other choice based on how it was written. How’s that for vague hahaha. This is a trilogy with no resolution of any kind in the first book so be prepared.

I didn't like the storyline at all, everything was just too triggering
I think this may be my new favorite Pam Godwin book. I ate this book UP!!! 700+ pages and it was so fast paced. Never a dull moment.
This is going to be SUCH a good RH. I love an RH where you never get the guys confused because the author does such a good job differentiating between each character. They all have such different looks and personalities, and just like Frankie, I love each of them for different reasons.
You’ve got a middle aged Brad Pitt, the tragic artist, the Viking and the lumberjack. Sold. Immediately.
The possessive alpha male, the one who is fine with her loving each of them and just wants her to be happy, the comedic relief pessimistic emo boy (my fav.)
The storyline took me on a RIDE. I was so invested from the start on what was going on and WHY. The twists and turns were wild. What an adventure. I still have so many questions and love that I have no idea the direction book 2 is going to go!!!

This book too me in the wildest darkest journey yet… I’m still coming to grips with the this story. It read so much like thriller/ suspense/ horror novel but with the added romance and I’m not mad about it! It kept me engaged and entertained and heart broken!! I will for sure be picking up the next one.
… uhm hello? This was surprisingly good & SO addicting. While I am very unamused with having to wait to april to read the 2nd book, if Cage of Ice and Echos is as good as Hills of Shivers and Shadows, it will be so worth the wait. Especially after that cliffhanger bitch
