emotional tense

I am LIVING for the Ace + Hadley snippets!
More serious + suspenseful than Bourbon & Lies was, and I can't put my finger on why exactly but I had a hard time losing myself in this story.
Liked it, didn't love it

While I really enjoyed this, it did take me a while to get invested. It very much felt like I was being dropped into the middle of a situation with half the information, and it left me feeling unsure about Lincoln & Faye and their story.

However, by the halfway point things were starting to click & I was invested. I loved the chemistry that Lincoln & Faye had - the spice was definitely spicing!

I also liked the suspense side of the story & how it was linked with the previous book. I found it to be really engaging & now I can’t wait to read the final act!
