Dang these Foxx brothers are really something! They just keep getting better. Lincoln Foxx with his glasses and single girl dad energy were everything I didn’t know I needed! Also, the twist that I did NOT see coming that had me literally picking my jaw up off the ground! AMAZING!

I can’t even begin to explain the amazing job these narrators did!! The way they fully brought these characters to life and made it sound so effortless. The vibes were vibing!

Faye Calloway returns to her home town in Kentucky with a less than warm welcome. She has secrets and she’s trying her best to avoid them. Unfortunately for her, the person holding her biggest secret is her (HOT) neighbor Lincoln Foxx.

Lincoln Foxx is a widowed, single dad to two girls. His girls and his bourbon is all he cares about. Until a gorgeous burlesque dancer who looks too familiar comes to town. She threatens to unveil secrets that are better left buried.

Let’s talk about the real stars of the book, Lincoln’s daughters! They way they look up to their dad while scheming behind is back is priceless! I also want to start a curse purse in my house and spend it in the same way those girls did!

This was not it

I honestly couldn’t care less about the two main characters, there wasn’t a single ounce of chemistry at any given moment. I kept waiting for it to get better because I had such high hopes, but this was SO boring…

I ended up skimming over so much of the dialogue and details because I really didn’t care about the plot.

Here’s to hoping the next one will be better

I did enjoy this but found myself not as wrapped up in it but maybe because I was more busy with life. Had some fun moments but I feel like the suspense/thriller ish part of the book wasn’t as interesting for me and while I wasn’t expecting the FMC to be perfect with the ending I thought she might’ve had a bit more of a baddie moment but was more saved by the MMC instead. Still enjoyable overall but I think I probably need a break to read some different things before I go back to finish the third which I am interested in reading.

I just finished Bourbon and Secrets by Victoria Wilder, and let me tell you, this audiobook is 🔥! I definitely enjoyed it more than Bourbon and Lies. Now, don’t get me wrong, Connor Crais will always be my top pick for a male narrator, but Lee Samuels did a solid job. However, Morgan Wicks as Faye? 🔥🔥🔥 Her voice is smoking hot—totally captivated me the entire time.

The plot was fantastic—spicy moments and emotional highs that hit all the right notes.

And let’s talk about the characters—Lincoln is an absolute dream. A single dad trying to balance love and fatherhood? Yes, please! He's amazing with his two girls, and watching him with Faye was just heart-melting. Faye, on the other hand, was a total gem—so loving and natural with the kids. Their dynamic was everything.

If you're into spicy chemistry, a heartwarming single dad romance, and a bit of mystery, this one’s for you! Can't wait to dive into more from Victoria Wilder!
