The reasons I loved this book was not only the HOTTTT FOXX BROTHER Lincoln but also the HOTT as heck Burlesque Queen Faye!! The book starts out strong with suspense and blackmail and you are like wow that was hot but also what is happening!! And watching Lincoln stand up for himself and protect himself and his daughters before he he finally let Faye in was BEAUTIFUL!!!
Seriously if you are looking for a spicy suspense romance where they have blackmail, bourbon, burlesque this is the read for you!!

I loved this book! It had everything I enjoy. Lincoln and Faye were a great couple. The way he doesn't care about anyone else or their opinion when she was around was really fun to read. His daughters were great and how much they love their father and knew how Faye made him happier was great. They were also sneaky kids who knew how worked the systems Lincoln had in place was so funny. Plus, I can't resist a man in glasses that is always a plus.

pleeease do not come for me for this because i adored the first book in this series, and will definitely be continuing with the next book, i NEED hadley’s story! unfortunately i really struggled with the first ~29 chapters of this. i think i might have been expecting the same level of suspense and emotional punch as the first book, and it just didn’t hit as hard for me. while the first book was fast paced, and felt pretty suspenseful throughout, this one fell flat. for the life of me i couldn’t find the chemistry past the insta lust which made the declarations to each other at the end feel insincere. (imo!)
linc is such a girls dad which was sweet to read. he’ll do anything for lily & lark and they walk all over him in the cutest way lol. it was really sweet to hear him open up about his history with liv. i did get the ick from his black button up shirt tho 😭 i liked these two as individuals, but at times their relationship seemed a little surface level, and i couldn’t get passed it. i was more interested in a side couple that was mentioned near the end. iykyk 🙂↕️ i hope to see more of them in hadley’s book.
