The author does a good job at creating atmosphere. The alchemy and magical aspects were interesting. The characters left a little to be desired. The will they, won’t they got old. It was an interesting read but mostly it was fine.

I had a hard time with the third person voice in this one. Overall I thought it was good, but not great.

An intense, passionate and imaginative lovestory about an unlikely couple. Allison Safts writing style is beautiful and evocative - so much so that I got pulled into the story right from the start. Anyone who loves character driven romances will likely adore A Far Wilder Magic.
