More of a 2.5 than a 2. The description of this book is not accurate. For a murder mystery, a body isn’t discovered until you’re 60% through the book! The victim doesn’t even go missing until 55% through. Instead, you have to read about a lesbian MILF and high school boys game of spin the bottle and process the narrator destroying her marriage for a schoolgirl crush on the popular girl. I thought I was getting a suburban thriller, not a novel about a wannabe influencer debating between having sex with her rich new friend who she’s obsessed with or the teenage best friend of one of her new friend’s son. She’s drunk constantly, drives drunk, lies to her loving husband, constantly leaving him to take care of their toddler son while she’s passed out after partying and doesn’t arrive home until late the next morning. The narrator is just unlikeable, this book is confusing and made me deeply uncomfortable to read.

I have mixed feelings with this book! It definitely kept me interested but sometimes took a weird turn. The ending was the best part because it was shocking! I didn’t see it coming. I thought I knew who did it but I was wrong, and I love that!

It had a lot of uncomfy moments. Older women & high school boys (ick), some lesbian obsession things going on, cheating, etc.

The main character was triggering for her stupidity and unnecessary lies. I don’t understand her obsession and weird attraction because it doesn’t seem to make sense how it started & why. Also what happened to Erin?? A huge part of the beginning and MIA for the rest of the book.

I pretty much hated every character but read it for the plot. I’d say a solid 3.75 ⭐️ because the plot saved it.

I’m wondering if people actually drink this much in real life as they do in this book?? 1 star for getting published and 1 star because of how impressive the main character’s bladder is.

I have never hated a main character so much. This book was hard to read. Best part of the book were the last 10 pages. I couldn’t wait to be done with it. Very disappointing.

This book is so addictive omg and the story still haunts me after I finished it. I invested in this story so much that I devoured this book within two days. It feels like I was witnessing a shattered ship slowly sinking to the very deep of the ocean. The protagonist, ugh, I don't really know how to describe her. I know that you don't have to like the protagonist to enjoy the book, but still... She's probably the stupidest protagonist I've ever read about... Will a normal person still hang out with the person who drugged you before? You certainly don't, right? But she did... And to be honest, she did not act like a grown-up person when she dealt with all the charges she faced. Despite all of her flaws, I was still extremely happy to see that she was safe and sound at last.
