I wanted to enjoy this. It seemed like a whimsical, light-hearted and wholesome story. But I think I just need to accept that this style of writing is not for me. Nothing against the author or the book itself, I just have yet to find a book told in vignettes that I've enjoyed.

Oh wow this was so wonderful. I love the way the story is formatted. I love the love at the center. And I love how realistic the magic feels in this book. Possible. So beautiful.

A delightful story. Told from the perspective of everyone except the main character makes for a unique perspective. You will feel like you lived with this character despite not stepping into his head for 99% of the tale. And you’ll want to adventure onward with his kindhearted soul long after the story has ended.

This book layered up perspectives on and pieces of Weylyn Grey's life in such a magnificent way. I loved the pacing and different voices of the characters and the story felt familiar in a comforting and interesting way, like a best friend. It was full of lovely fantasy and great heart.
