A great read. Started out iffy and weakish, but soon developed into a good story with an ending I never suspected.

Foursome, despite the title, is NOT erotica. The foursome referred to is a group of friends, two couples, who have known each other and been the mainstay of each others social lives for many years. When one of the marriages breaks up (Alex and Isabel), it has far reaching consequences and causing Rebecca to reexamine whether she every really knew them or anyone for that matter. There is another storyline in the book which revolves around Rebecca’s job and her interactions with a co-worker, Lorna. That particular storyline sums up very accurately why women are their own worst enemies as far as professional lives. I have watched these kind of relationships/interactions in places I have worked and it never ends well. I thought that part of the book was very accurately done.

I guess not having life long friendships like this, I really didn’t get some of this. When the friendship became, so much work/drama/chaos and zero fun or actual friendship, I just would have moved on and …then you wouldn’t have had a story. The main ideas here are that you never really know anyone as well as you think and that secrets will always out. Competently written and engaging enough for a quick read.

Such an easy and fun read.

The book is about two couples: Rebecca and Dan, Isabel and Alex. These two couples are both best friends and have been together for 20years when things change. Alex and Isabel break up, which causes a strain on the friendship nd Rebecca is forced to hold a secret she'd rather no nothing about.

This book had me laughing and feeling sorry for characters all at the same time. I thorougly enjoyed it and will definately look to read more books by the same autuor.

I loved everything about the story, the characters and how everything turned out. A definate reccomendation for an easy, happy, chick-lit read.

It's been a while since I've read Got you back and Getting rid of Matthew. But I had to read foursome because I liked the other ones so much. And Jane Fallon didn't disappoint me! I really liked the attention shift from a boyfriend/ husband in most chicklits to friendship. This can be just as valuable as any relationship.
The characters were likeable. Besides it was so recognizable to have someone you dislike so much even if you have to see that person every day. The only downside was the end, a little but too happy for me. I was glad she didn't let Alex join them, that would be too much of a fairytale ending. But all in all a very pleasant read!
