The fact that someone wrote this in their early twenties is quite impressive. Flawed, a little. But very much still enjoyed it, and I cant wait to see what else this author comes up with

I'm not sure. It was very uneven. I didn't care for the first half or even 2/3 at all, thought about DNF-ing, decided to see it through. I'm glad I did. Did not find it remotely funny.

Weird, kind of sad, and unexpected.

It’s taken me a while to collect my thoughts to review this. Was it everything I thought it would be? No. Was it a fun book that went to dark places? Yes. I couldn’t put it down.

This is a ‘weird girl’ book. I really liked the story, and I think if you’re someone who gravitates towards books that are about growing as a person, you will enjoy it. I didn’t always like the main character or understand her decisions. But that’s what kept me coming back.

I did feel the ending was anti-climatic. It’s weird and has a lot of promise. But it felt like someone trying to quickly wrap up a story they had a deadline for. There was more to be said and done.

All in all, I like this and can’t say I regret picking it up!

I think the book was very entertaining. If you don't like the word vomit/train of thought writing style this might not be for you, but I love that kind of writing. The mc is very unlikable but it's understandable since the story focuses on how grief affects people. I found it's exploration of grief, loneliness, motherhood, and depression to very well done.
