I don't know anything about mothering, stay-at-home moms, working moms, kids, housewives, regular wives, husbands, or minivans, but I do know a sassy sarcastic strong foulmouthed straight shooting lady when I see one! Jen Mann is awesome and could potentially be my spirit-animal! I saw myself in so many of her comments and in so much of her behavior.
When faced with so much ridiculousness, sometimes humorous disdain for "idiots" is really the only response and Jenn captures this response perfectly! I will definitely be checking out her other book about Christmas!

Entertaining, especially as a mom. Going to have to check out her blog.
Listen. I'm nearly always going to be here for a take on parenting that exposes all the nonsense for what it is. We're all just flawed people muddling through and doing the best we can. I found it entertaining and it could not have been a faster read which I also appreciate. Now, do I believe she's really said all the things she's claimed to have said? Nooope. Do any of us ever? I'm sure she's embellishing a bit for our entertainment and I'm cool with that. In the age of Instagram, Influencer culture, and a billion filters, sometimes as a parent you just need someone to share their own hot mess stories to remind yourself that most of us (maybe even all of us) don't really have it figured out, and I thank her for that.
I really liked the beginning. A very fun and interactive writing style!
It's a funny book to start but the stories started to get in my nerves after a while. You knew the story would be goal, how to get the goal, how the author botches the journey, how it turned out. Every time. And as I do not have kids, that aspect of it wasn't a hook for me.

Ehhh...I expected more of this. I was hoping to laugh out loud, but instead was horrified at the depiction of suburban moms. Is this exaggerated? I don't have any kids, so I wouldn't know.

A little too much mom related content for me to truly relate but otherwise it was enjoyable.
