King of Thieves is the first book in Saxon James's Frat Wars series. Here's what you can expect from Chad and Bailey:

💜 MM contemporary romance
💜 First person dual point of view
💜 Guaranteed happily ever after
💜 College romance, rival frats
💜 "Basically Romeo and Juliet"...without the dying!
💜 Low angst
💜 Friendly competitions, no hazing
💜 Secret romance

When people spoke about Chad Doomsen, I'd been expecting a loud, obnoxious dude-bro, not some adorable monster with sweet eyes and pretty words.

This book, and the series as a whole, is just so much fun! If you're looking for a low angst, fun contemporary romance to round out your TBR or balance out some heavier reads, I think Saxon has you covered with this one. I love the concept of a frat being wholesome, as it goes against the stories you usually hear about and the news articles that come out around hazing. Chad is your certified dude-bro. He plays perfectly into your sterotypical frat bro. He's a football player, and loves his Sigma brothers and causing chaos for their rival frat, the Kappas. Bailey is a transfer to this particular college, and he's just trying to fit into a different frat dynamic than his previous house. Underneath Chad's dude-bro exterior, he was actually so adorable. The secret element to his relationship with Bailey was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed that their relationship didn't stand in the way of them enjoying their frat brotherhoods. This book had some really sweet moments that caught me off guard the first time I read it, and with Saxon James's work, the steam was great!

Audiobook Review
My second time reading through this was actually through the audiobook, which was available to me on Spotify. I thought Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese did an amazing job at bringing Chad and Bailey to life. I do think Alexander Cendese's voice was more suited to the frat bro (he voiced Chad which was perfect) with Iggy Toma voicing Bailey. Iggy Toma worked as Bailey, but it wasn't what I would've envisioned right away. Overall, I thought it was a great listen.

Since I met him, he's been the only one.
And we're in love.
Now, if that isn't frat as fuck…I don't know what is.

So freaking cute!

***Spoilers*** (if you want to be completely surprised, don’t read this) There isn’t much not to love about this story. Two rival frat guys falling for each other. Not only that but the huge difference in how they grew up and how they overcame it. Chad and Bailey are relationship goals! Chad had to overcome a lot more but did it with class. Can’t wait for the next one!

Skim read, didn’t feel any connection to or between the characters

Frat as f...

Non-stop smexy fun, complete with bashful bad boys, this book is everything I want college life to be. Chad and Bailey are the true King of Thieves as they completely snuck their way into my heart and have stolen my dreams and daydreams. Their sizzling connection and steamy banter charmed and seduced me, and I'm still swooning over watching them fall for each other and in love.

"'It's not too late to run, you know.'
'Of course it is.'
'Why?'
'Because now I've met you. I couldn't run if I tried.'"

Gah, these two hit me in all the feels, in all the best ways. If I could lick them and claim them, I would. I need more and hope we see cameos of them. In fact, I wish I could hop into the pages of this fabulous and flirty book again and again so I can spend all my time with the mischievous, hilarious, smoking hot guys of Sigma Beta Psi and Rho Kappa Tau. I love the depth of all the characters, the ride-or-die friendships, the over-the-top competitions, and the surprisingly real moments they share as brothers. I can't wait for more of this amazing, fantastic series and if I could, I would pledge to stay with them forever.

I love that Saxon James just went for it with the frat boys in this series. I scooped up all three in rapid succession, they were excellent fun. Low drama, high steam, heaping doses of sweet and ridiculous. My idea of a good time.

I'm absolute trash for this shit now

this was really short but cute. the insta-love was strong in this one but honestly chad (ignore the name…) and bailey were so cute i didn’t mind it.

chad was a very shocking yet refreshing character. like he’s such a frat boy so you would assume he was a player but he was such a puppy dog towards bailey. it was so cute how all in he was right from the jump.

as for bailey, it made sense why he was hesitant at the start but i really like that he was able to see chad’s genuineness and separate him from the guys who only wanted him for his money

i really really liked the lack of a third act breakup and how when it seemed like shit was gonna hit the fan, we got hit with trust and communication excellence between chad and bailey. i love it when a couple doesn’t let a misunderstanding drive them apart!!

overall- really short, probably won’t be thinking about this book for the rest of time but it was cute
