I really, truly, NEVER thought I'd enjoy this as much as I did... I HATE frat boys, still do - probably even more now - but the romance was.. so.. damn.. SOFT??
Chad is the VP and prank master of Sigma frat circus and his favourite thing to do is to annoy the rival frat. When he meets snarky, pretty Bailey, who turns out to be *gag* a Kappa, he can't help but be intrigued. Bailey just transferred to this new university and while he is a member of a frat, he couldn't care less about pranks and dumb rivalries. When he meets Chad, he knows hooking up is a bad idea, but the chemistry is chemistrying and "only one night" turns into two and into a relationship they have to hide from their brothers (ew).
I swear this was so damn sweet. Chad is this big jock who is a bit of a player but the moment he sees Bailey, he reveals how much of a softie he is. And it doesn't feel like insta-love, they both have this "omg he is HOT" and "i need to get him out of my system and then I'll move on", but when they start getting to know more about each other and realise they both like the other beyond just lust, it gets so cute. This was so unproblematic and no over-the-top drama, they just went with the flow and were perfect for each other. Bailey is a worrier who is always wary of people getting close to him for his money. Chad comes from a modest family but Bailey's money is not something he is interested in. Chad teaches Bailey how to live in the moment and not worry about making plans, and Bailey appreciates Chad for who he is, especially things others tend to overlook. They both see each other for who they are and make the other better. I love this shit sm.
So yep, frat houses is so fucking silly and I do hate men, but the boys were so cute I can't wait to read the next book! I've read Robbie's brother - Marshall's ([b:The Dating Disaster|61277555|The Dating Disaster (Franklin U, #2)|Saxon James|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1656946332l/61277555._SY75_.jpg|96617104])- book first so I'm really excited for his story.

This story is Frat AF! I loved everything about this book!
Chad is a jock (football player) at college on a partial athletic scholarship.
He thinks college will be the best years of his life. He’s determined to make the most of it.
Fraternity life, frat pranks and fun are his focus.
Chad thinks he’s a fun guy, but not smart. He’s ok with this, it’s a really interesting part of his personality.
I can just picture his sweet puppy like eyes.
Chad is actually much more than he thinks of himself.
Bailey is an ultra wealthy student who transferred to the school and his fraternity towards Senior year.
He’s in the fraternity with the future movers and shakers of the world.
He’s not really fitting in or making friends.
The two meet without knowing they are from competing frats and they start to hook-up… until Bailey realizes who Chad is and bails.
He knows he won’t make friends hooking up with “the enemy.” Plus he isn’t sure he wants to tell his fraternity brother’s he’s gay.
Chad pursues him and it’s an adorable and sexy romance.
Their banter is so fun and hot. They start over with text messaging.
I love their text messages, I’m a sucker for relationships that start that way.
I feel like they have to rely on their personality over chemistry or sex appeal.
I loved the ridiculous Frat competitions and pranks.
It’s a lot of laughs and fun times.
The characters are multi dimensional and both are incredibly lovable. I love the humor both characters have, they both bring a different kind and they both are hands down good guys. That is so refreshing! Nice guys ;)
Chad has some beliefs and ideas about his future that Bailey challenges.
I love that both Chad and Bailey knock away some misguided preconceived ideas they both have of each other. The class difference, goals, etc.
It’s an opposites attract, “they should” be enemies, MM romance with tons of laughs, all the feels and plenty of steamy and sexy times.
They are adorable and super hot together! Super swoony moments.
I love this couple so much! A great start to a series. I’m looking forward to more.

There's nothing radical or life-changing about this book but I liked Chad and I had a good time. 4/5

solid 4 star read! super cute & spicy story, had some really sweet moments and overall was entertaining. bailey and chad (yes, i know it's a super douchey name) have the classic black cat - golden retriever dynamic, which i always enjoy reading, and overall the plot was busy enough to keep you entertained but not complicated to a point where you really need to focus or you might not get what's happening.
perfect for when you're in a bit of a slump and just want something fun and tender to read.
perfect for when you're in a bit of a slump and just want something fun and tender to read.
This is exactly what you want and wish for with a college romance.
The plot surrounds a lot of pranks and rivalries, which should feel childish, but it kind of fits with the whole frat dynamic this novel has.
The behaviour is also not annoying, because they never take their bullshit too far. It's not like the pranks go overboard or as if the rivalry contains any serious hate. It's just some innocent, "fun" college stuff.
I actually quite liked that one of the two MCs is super into the whole frat dynamic, whereas the other one thinks it's slightly stupid, yet doesn't look down on it or anything. It made for an interesting and entertaining vibe between these two.
Speaking of the two MCs, I genuinely liked both of them a lot.
At first, I thought Chad might not be my cup of tea, perse, but I almost immediately shoved that aside, as he was definitely way more than met the eye, and he actually ended up being my favourite. He wasn't just some dude-bro. No. He was actually super sweet, and shy, and caring. I was honestly kind of obsessed with how much he showed his affection towards Bailey, willing to not only fight for him, but also thinking Bailey was like the most perfect person alive. It was super cute.
When it comes to Bailey, I liked him from the very beginning, although his indecision did make me think he was a bit difficult for no reason sometimes. I didn't really hold this against him, though, as his reasonings for it made sense to me. I don't have a lot to say about him, as he's kind of just your straight-up good guy, but I just really liked him.
I have to say that I did like the first half of this novel a lot more than I did the second, as the story and chemistry did simmer down quite a bit after Bailey and Chad seemed to be sort of officially together.
I just really liked the chase and the pining, and that was almost perfectly executed, so the second half really didn't stand a chance in comparison. It was still fun, just not as extraordinary as the beginning.
Luckily, the chase actually goes on for quite a long time, longer than I expected, so a big chunk of this book was perfect to me. Even if you do find the rest a little bit boring (which I didn't, by the way), the chase is definitely 100% worth it.
Their meet-cute was also absolutely amazing and gave me all kinds of butterflies.
Aside from some minor jealousies and issues, there is zero drama or angst here. I actually often crave a bit of drama in my books, but I didn't find it particularly necessary here, and although I think I would have liked a little bit more of it, I also kind of enjoyed the easy-going nature this novel had.
I am super excited about this series, and I can't wait for the next book. If I had to place any bets, I would imagine that Brandon and Robbie are definitely gonna get their own book, but I can also maybe see Zeke and Charles be a thing. I hope we'll get books for both of these couples, as they seem very fun to me. I can’t wait!
