Cute

Because sometimes you just need low angst frivolity. Was it perfect? No. But it was entertaining and at times that's all you need.

Well this book is "Frat as fuck". Such a great read!

Q&A!

Q: Frat as fuck? That's interesting... What tropes are there?
A: Frat boys duh! Seriously through... pseudo-rivals to lovers, opposites attract, Secret relationship all rolled into one!

Q: What a roll that is! What about the characters?
The characters.... sigh
Let's start with Chad because...

He is just ADORABLE and so freaking sexy with his outlook in life. easy-going, passionate, down to earth and just a nice guy who loved with his whole heart. he's a hard-worker who know his limits, accepts his life and loyal to a fault. I loved him to bits! #PrettyPerfect

Bailey is his opposite. He's new and has no friends. He's stressed about his college work and his future. He just wants to finish senior year in peace. He never even saw Chad coming. #Derailed

Q: This sounds so sweet! How romantic is it?
A: Very... Chad is totally enamored with Bailey and Bailey can't help but think and miss Chad all the time. From the moment they see each other, they are IT for the other, no matter how hard they try to be friends. and what's lovelier is the communication. They talk, they don't keep secrets and they don't lie. They just take it 1 day at a time while their relationship flows naturally. #GreatPace

Q: Awww... Love this! What's the steam-o-meter?
A: High Steam and it's hotter than the sun!! These guys are fire between the sheets. #PantiesWent Poof

Q: Dayum! Angst-o-meter?
A: Low angst and virtually nothing between the MCs. They're solid all the way. #StrongerTogether

Q: Well now I'm simpering. What about the HEA?
A: Now you'll simper even more! We get to see them 10 years later, at a reunion, and still as in love as ever. #CueSwoonfest

We’re basically Romeo and Juliet. But dudes. And without all the dying.
Truth dude... TRUTH

I’m reviewing the audio version. Having guys from two rival frat houses made this entertaining. Chad is totally living the college wild life until he meets Bailey. Bailey is almost his opposite. The attraction and banter between these two is fun. The sneaking around is amusing. The getting into trouble and out of it was interesting. The narrations by Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese brought the characters to life.

Saxon James kicks off her new series with a college romance that is a solid mix of sweet, funny, hot and adorable.

There is no unnecessary drama and very little angst - the characters are actually communicating with each other. I love how the relationship develops between the main characters and Chad is so precious. Bailey has some reservations against Chad, which makes sense since the whole rivalry between their frats, but his hesitation doesn't last long.

I appreciate that most of the frat boys aren't portrayed as childish and mindless, that they can step up and be mature when needed. Of course there are pranks, but they are all necessary for the story / background and never felt overwhelming.

"King of Thieves" wasn't really what I expected from reading the blurb - I was pleasantly surprised by the story and the characters, and I look forward to the next book in the series!

5 stars

The chemistry, the shenanigans, the banter, the feelings between them was all kinds of blushworthy!

I. Want. More.

STEAM LEVEL:

Chad Doomsen is the VP of Sigma Beta Psi, and one of the biggest pranksters on campus. He's been one of the big men on campus, and the Sigmas have been crowned the King of Thieves for three years in a row. Chad is determined to claim the title once again and finish college on a high note.

Bailey Prince might just be the only thing standing in Chad's way. Bailey is a member of Rho Kappa Tau, the Sigmas' biggest rivals. While he isn't a big fan of the hijinks that ensue between the two fraternities, he can't deny that he isn't attracted to Chad. But both guys know that nothing could ever happen between the two of them. So, they decided to get it out of the system, but even after the hookup, they can't shake what they are feeling. Both will have to decide between what they feel and their loyalties to their fraternities.

I had my eye on this series for a while, but never took the plunge. After winning a digital copy of this in a giveaway, I decided it was time to see what the hype was about. I didn't expect to love it this much by the end of it. Chad was your typical idiotic frat brother, but there was so much more to him than that. I loved getting to know his true character and see him learn more about Bailey as they fell for each other. I definitely can't wait to read the rest of this series!

Dude, this was soooo good. I flip-flop about whether or not I like University aged characters. Sometimes their immaturity grates me, but this….this was perfect!

Sure, they were young and stupid, but in the most endearing possible way.

Both Chad and Bailey were amazing, but Chad is absolutely the bestest character. Most times he’s completely ridiculous and over the top, but he’s also solid and caring, and absolutely loyal to those he loves. He reminds me of Marmaduke (from the Cartoon strip), he just barrels in, with so much energy and joy, that you just can’t help but love him. I also love how free he was with sharing his emotions.

"'It's not too late to run, you know.'
'Of course it is.'
'Why?'
'Because now I've met you. I couldn't run if I tried.'"

Bailey was also great, more reserved and quiet, but he has to be, as the next in line to a banking fortune, you learn to keep to yourself and question why others want to know you. I loved watching unable to resist the charm of Chad and his joie de vivre. He never tried to change him, he just embraced having this delightful person in his life, knowing life was going to be infinitely better together.
