A post apocalyptic why choose romance - need I say more?
adventurous mysterious slow-paced

Quickie review: 3.25 stars. I'm not sure what I was expecting but this was basically a zombie apocalypse sex fantasy. There was not much character development, but it was hot, fluffy and entertaining. I just wanted more depth.

I read this for the Vaginal a Fantasy book club. It really is probably the worst pick to date. The premise sounds so fun - erotica set post-zombie apocalypse with manage et trios action. However, when this wasn't being 'blah' it was being offensive. "No" means no! I can't get over the treatment of consent in this book.

Not in the mood.

  • I don't understand why Finn IMMEDIATELY began referring to Ali as "Al"
  • Aspirin is not some miracle painkiller!!! Unless I read that wrong and Finn was really slinging opioids
  • I love Dan, he's the perfect older man/teddy bear combo that I adore in an MMC
  • So much happened so quickly, the pacing of this book is a lil off to me
  • WHY WOULD THEY WANT TO MAKE BABIES RN, IT IS NOT QUITE THE TIME

This was my second listen, I remembered it from when it first came out.  Listening after the pandemic it hits a little differently, and likely enjoyed it more.

Can you actually imagine living though post-apocalypse? This zombie plague was created in a lab and accidentally released. There is so much junk created that the govt. doesn't ever want us to know about, but I HAVE to believe something like this would never come to fruition. Why would you make this?
ANyways, I really did like this version of zombies. Flesh was well written and nothing too unrealistic. I am really glad they were using condoms and all, but it almost seemed kind of silly. Its hard to get water but condoms are available, kind of random.

I just don't groove on zombies. Normally I wouldn't read a zombie book, but I really liked the last Kylie Scott and decided to hit the back catalogue. This is pure smut (not a bad thing), and the smut is pretty darn good, but the relationships are not sexy, based as they are on "if you were the .only woman left on Earth" and then there were the zombies. It bears mentioning that it is a crappy zombie story even if you like such things. 4 star sex, 1 star everything else. A 2 feels right.
