This is a wonderful and magic-filled retelling of Tarzan, with an adult twist.
Thorne has grown up in the jungles, protecting it and his family; the gorillas who raised him after his parent's murder. When he saves Eden from poachers, they begin a journey of self-discovery and life while battling the evils from long ago.
Thorne was sweet, loving and wholly invested in Eden. His heart was pure through and through. And Eden was his perfect complement. Their moments together were sweet and loving.
I also loved the jungle. It was the true secondary character, coming alive with life, and having its own personality.

I’m not really sure what I expected, but I wasn’t completely sucked in like I was hoping. I feel like Thorne’s insta-love made sense, but Eden’s didn’t. If some jungle man told me I was his mate I’d think he was nuts and make him prove it. I suppose it could be explained by the magic of the forest, but I would have loved to have seen some more woo-ing. I loved the concept of the heart of the jungle and all the things Thorne has done in his time there. The ending was great and loved they stayed in the jungle!

This is a amazing book that had me hooked from the beginning. You will fall in love with Thorne and the jungle which is his home. Highly recommend this book for literally anyone. The romance was very sweet and cute.

This book is the very definition of white savior complex. A white ENGLISH man ‘appointed’ the savior of a jungle by the spirits of an old Ugandan civilization?? Not to mention racist. “How is the book racist???” The fact that this author kept referring to Uganda as ‘Africa’ tells you all you need to know.
