This is my favorite fantasy book series of all time!!
Would have been a favorite if I had read it ten years ago! Unfortunately by now, a lot of the plot seems predictable and the world building as well as the magic system seems lacking. But it was overall entertaining!

Loved loved loved her Warrior Heir series, but could not get into this one. :(
I did guess most of the plot twists but it was such an enjoyable reading experience. Can’t wait to read more!

rereading after ages and i don’t remember much, but off to a great start! loved the characters, the political tension, and how magic actually felt dangerous
Definitely read a little younger than I remember (especially Raisa’s chapters), but I remember why I liked this so much.
