Sometimes it was a bit unclear, but when I look at Lemony's work, I know it was meant to be.

Again I enjoyed his way of expressing and describing. I continue to fall in love with the love letter to Beatrice, over and over.

I could read it again and again. Reading to my beloved, reading to myself, reading when I feel bad, with loss, anger, sadness or just happy, enthusiastic and in love.
The text amazes me every time and contains one of the most beautiful sentences ever written in a love letter.

Kind regards

(Ps; the insiders and details are great for spotting, be attentive)

he really wrote the saddest letter imaginable and put it in a children’s book😭😭

The Beatrice Letters: Or, I Love You More Than a Book Loves a Shelf or a Shelf Loves a Book

What a fun series of letters with a twist! It was lovely to see Lemony Snicket's letters to Beatrice Baudelaire and it was delightful to see Beatrice Baudelaire's letters to Lemony Snicket. What a fanciful, tragic relationship they all have with each other.

I can't imagine reading this book between the excellent 12th volume, Penultimate Peril and the underwhelming 13th ending, The End. It certainly would have whetted my appetite and I would have been poring over every detail, nook, and cranny of this book of letters despite this book not having nooks or crannies. This series of letters, however, is bittersweet as I have read The End before this ended and I can't forget the merciless melancholy and deep disappointment I felt after reading the 13th book. Such a shame.

However, Lemony Snicket remains a mischievous maester of words and I award this book four stars alone for his long winded explanation of his love for Beatrice. It was a thing of beauty to read and I was mesmerized.

Completely Lemony Snicket; heart-breaking, lovely, memorable, but second to 'A Series of Unfortunate Events'.

What even... Seriously Lemony why would you do that gah..

WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. Okay, I know I all caps in reviews a lot, but this is absolutely warranted. I thought the 13th book left me with more questions than answers. But holy hell is this confusing.
Spoiler There's more than one person who is named Beatrice Baudelaire. We find out that Beatrice was the children's mother and she was supposed to marry Lemony, but then turned down the proposal and gave back the ring, and then she married Bertrand instead, only to have multiple kids later. Then we learn about the telegram that Lemony sent to Beatrice, but it never got sent to her.

That's only about the mysterious relationship between one person and another and NOTHING about
Spoiler who these letters are from!! Because some read like they're from the actual Beatrice, the mom, and then the others would read like that they were from the Beatrice that is actually a Snicket. It's all very confusing. Then the letters and the anagrams.
Also, does everything have to be in code!? Some of the codes I could figure out, they were pretty easy, but then other things, when I think I have it figured out, I look at the wiki page and it's telling me I'm wrong, but what they're saying makes zero sense, so here I am, lost.

It's a lot to digest.
