This was ... confusing. I enjoyed reading it, but it didn't add anything to the series.

“I will love you as misfortune loves orphans, as fire loves innocence and as justice loves to sit and watch while everything goes wrong... I will love you as a volunteer fire department loves running into burning buildings and as burning buildings love to chase them back out... I will love you until all the codes and hearts have been broken and until every anagram and egg has been unscrambled...
I will love you as we grow older, which has just happened... and will continue to happen as the flipping pages of every calendar mark the passage of time, except for the calendars that people have forgotten to place in a highly visible area...
That, Beatrice, is how I will love you even as the world goes on its wicked way.”
Oh Lemony Snicket books, I love you that much and more. I didn’t think I could love you anymore and then I started Beatrice Letters and fell even more in love with this world and these characters in a Series of Unfortunate Events.
Also, thank you Lemony for giving me three full pages of material to write my wedding vows someday!

Okay, so, I have to say, after [b:The End|65112|The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events, #13)|Lemony Snicket|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1524761836l/65112._SX50_.jpg|838691] I was kind of disappointed and frustrated, really just because of how it ends, without really knowing what happened. (Spoilers for The End)
While I was reading the Fandom Wiki for ASOUSE, I found this book and got it from the library. Although it doesn't completely clear up what happened, it helps you clear up a few things. (And I totally think a new series - or even book - with Beatrice Baudelaire the Second as the subject would be awesome!)

I wanted to know who lived and who died in the Denoumount fire, or if the Great Unknown saved or killed the Widdershins and Quagmires, but, mostly, I wanted to know what happened to the Baudelaires. Did they drown? Did Violet manage to fix the boat? WHAT HAPPENED?While I was reading the Fandom Wiki for ASOUSE, I found this book and got it from the library. This is a really nice supplementary book to A Series of Unfortunate Events if you are person intrigued with the details of the past tragedies, secret organizations, anagrams, and future calamities in the universe. Design-wise, it is a lovely books, with full color pages with 'hand-written' letters, telegraphs, notecards, and other written entries that can be considered letters, as well as illustrations and cutouts. Like most of what Lemony Snicket writes, there are layers to the story, the surface, the surface mysteries, and hints to mysteries laying underneath.

Es un libro de cartas en código y que al estilo del autor responde algunas preguntas, pero deja muchas otras. No es vital su lectura si no se es fan de la serie.
