Not surprisingly, I finished this book in one sitting, as I was hooked again from the first chapter. After seeing Emma in Saylor's book, this is not the story I was expecting, but it was meant to be Emma's story. I've been loving second chance romances lately, and this one was so good to read. Caden and Emma had the best banter from the moment he pulled her over, but Emma really knew when to push and when to back off, which made their banter so much better.
Their fears over the relationship, the possibilities, and the past, made this book so emotional that I adored it. This book had a way of making sure Emma and Caden's relationship stayed at the front of the story, when there were so many other storylines that could have taken the spotlight, especially for Emma.
My favorite scenes in this book though when Emma and Caden would have their one-on-one talks that no one knew about, that is one of my favorite things in a romance book, and this one does it so well!

I have read so many of CW Farnsworth’s books, and I just love the way she tells a love story!
I had a hunch I would like this one because I love second chance romance more than just about anything, but it still surprised me. I was invested from the very first page and stayed immersed throughout. I found myself wanting to shake the characters multiple times, but in a way that made me want to keep reading and see how the happy ending would unfold. The chemistry was electric, and I really enjoyed the way they interacted- the hatred that was actually love really made everything more tense and exciting.

This book was super cute! I really like Emma but I honestly never understood why she felt the need to run away and ignore Caden.
Like obviously the big thing she found out about was confusing and life changing, but why run away from the guy that was there for her and she loved?
I wish there were 2chapters set in the past explaining what happened that night in detail. With both perspectives

A fantastic second chance love story
Moderate: Sexual content
Spoiler warning ⚠️
It was okay. Enjoyable but I was expecting more, especially as the beginning made it seem really promising but after the the hero got broken up with his gf in the current time, I thought having seen their chemistry, and angst they would be staying in that winter house on mountains or whatever that was for a longer time and would end up shagging as that would have been perfect but they didn’t lmao 😭
Anyway, also for their sex scenes it wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad either, just I was expecting more. Because I enjoy this author’s work.
Also Gahh I loved getting those little tidbits about Saylor and beck from first flight fall. They’re are still my fav. And now they have a little baby girl too 🤰🏻
