2,5. mam problem z ocenieniem tej książki. z jednej strony dobrze mi się czytało, chociaż od pewnego momentu miałam serdecznie dosyć powtarzających się opisów pomieszczeń, budynków, przecznic, dziesiątek przedmiotów. nie, nic z tego nie miało wpływu na fabułę ani nie było w ogóle ciekawe czy ładne. w 60-70% byłam nieco podekscytowana, bo myślałam, że zaczął się fragment, w którym główna bohaterka (niestety bardzo irytująca w swoich wyborach) w końcu będzie miała szansę zmienić swoją teraźniejszość albo zmienić swoje nastawienie, a w zamian dostałam dziesiątki, jak nie setki skoków w czasie wte i wewte, a autorka niestety *musiała* wymienić dziesiątki różnych kolacji, obiadów, miejsc, konwersacji. no po prostu męczące.
jak żem rzekła, miło się czytało, ale ostatecznie frustrujące i przeciągane nic niewnoszącymi opisami.

My favourite Emma Straub book, by far. Destroyed me, sobbed through the end of the book. I read it shortly after a trip to NYC which made it extra fun to read, as I could more vividly imagine it. Can I time travel back to 1990s NYC? Sounds great, and like bagels weren’t $20 USD.
