4.25
This book of novellas averages out to 4.25 stars. I really enjoyed this! It was perfect for reading a novella while traveling and I was able to finish this book in 3 flights. I think I enjoyed the first story the most- I could see the chemistry and loved the romance of the encounter. The second story could easily have been a really good full length novel, but I didn’t get the character development I wanted in an academic rivals to lovers story. The third story was cute, albeit predictable, but the stubbornness of both characters not talking about how they really felt the whole time was a little infuriating. I would love to read more by this author!

Collection Rating: 4.5/5 stars
A collection of three interconnected novellas revolving around an airport setting.
I love a good novella collection, and this one was no exception! I found all of the characters a lot of fun, and loved the combinations of different tropes, including many of my favorites (academic rivals! fake relationship!)
What I loved most about this collection, however, was the airport setting. I’ve never really thought of an airport as a SETTING before—it’s usually a liminal space, an in between or transition place, but not a main location. Here, however, the airport functioned almost like a small town, adding a fun community feel to the stories that I really appreciated. I never would have thought of this concept before reading these, but now I’m a little bit obsessed with the idea, and the execution here was perfect.
Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: novellas; small town with a twist; interconnected stories
CW: Infidelity and sexism
