I love a good book that has a baby or a pregnancy. I knew by the title I would be enticed. I was entranced by the writing style and overall loved it a lot. Thank you very much for writing such an incredible story of two people that belong together but have some serious issues ;)
2.5 stars ⭐️
There’s a chapter in this book called “OMG Again”, and that pretty much sums up my feelings for this book. Same shit, different pile! More OM drama. More OW drama. More needless angst. More of the same internal monologue. At least there was no cheating in this one.
There were some inventive sex scenes that were good though, and there was a small twist at the end that I didn’t see coming, which is why I’m giving this book 2.5 stars, instead of the 2 stars I gave the last one.

amazing series, very dark and twisted. not for the faint hearted but a must read if that's your thing. i totally loved it.
This is the fourth book in the series and the first three need to be read first.
I have really enjoyed this series but at times been so frustrated with Kayla and have hated Gage.
I really like Kayla but could never understand how she puts up with everything that she does and all of the issues with trust that have been causing conflict between her and Gage. Some of that came to the surface and was resolved in this book but sometimes I still wanted to scream at her.
In this book you do see a different side of Gage and that was how everything went with Katherine. This book seemed to show things more clearly from where he stood with her and the ending just blew me away as I really wasn't expecting that bombshell at all. I hope that changes Gage for the good.
I think Kayla had every right in her attitude towards Katherine and I do believe it was different than the problems with Ian but then you could see the link between the two that made Kayla see it all differently.
So I am definitely not on team Gage but this book made me see him differently and not hate him as much as I have!
Definitely interested in seeing if there is a future story for Katherine coming!

I'm thinking that this might very well be the conclusion to the series. Not sure. Although I was still quite irritated, I really quite enjoyed what I've read so far. Gemma James is one hell of a writer and I'm surprised by how much emotion she was able to pull out of me. Granted, most of it was anger, but who cares right?! The fact that I felt so strongly is just a testament to how invested I was in Gage and Kayla's story. Her writing was so on point that every time Gage punished Kayla, I felt it.

Her poor bum!
My disappointments remained the same. Nothing new. To find out what they are because I would hate to repeat myself for those who already know, read the following reviews:

Other than sorely missing out on Gage's POV, I thought this was not only an awesome series but also a great introduction to this author.
