Book club book. Reading this book was like groundhog's day-I felt like I was reading the same chapter over and over. Rinse and repeat. 2 stars because of the author's message.
This book leaves me with tears in my eyes. Such a beautiful, ageless redemption story, and one of my favourite books of all time.
I had added this to my TBR list long ago because it had such an incredibly high rating, though I have outgrown traditional romance, and Christian fiction isn't usually my cup of tea either. Then one of the tasks on a challenge I am doing this year was to read a romance. Seemed like the perfect fit. While it seems to me that the book could have been a little shorter, I am reminded that the Lord said seventy times seven, and that is a lot too. So now I have to go to the Bible and read Hosea, and my eyes still hurt because I cried pretty much straight from 12 til 2:30 today.....and yes, I recommend it!

I found the story of Angel very compelling and the pages turned quickly. While I am not religious (atheist in fact) and the elements of religion did not appeal to me, as a therapist I found the story of Angel’s trauma and healing journey very interesting to absorb and contemplate.
I was undecided about reading this fearing the Christian message would be too much for my tastes. And I have seen others asking the same. I did not find it preaching the faith, and it was not too much (although it came close at the end for me) to take away from the enjoyment of Angel’s recovery and personal development, and Michael’s character

I stick by my original star rating. In many ways this book was as uplifting and fulfilling as I could want (not to forget frustrating), but also I really struggled with some portions and I swear it didn't need to be QUITE as long as it was. Despite my issues, it still was a fabulous story of redemption and God's love.
Loved this book the first & second time I read it. I especially love the gospel allegory & redemption.
One of the best books I have read there is no words to explain all I liked about it. All I would say its a book everyone should read
