This book was absolutely wonderful. Francine Rivers made me feel so much - joy, compassion, fear, sadness, and then joy again. I will forever recommend this book to everyone.

I'd give it 10 if I could.
I was truly moved by this book. Reading the scenes where she comes back to him and he has already forgiven her brought me to tears. Perfect depiction of God's love towards His people.

Wow. That's all I can say. I couldn't put it down. What a simultaneously horrible & wonderful story.

A few times I cried thinking about the parallel between the two lovers and my relationship with God. However, I didn’t like how drawn out the story was at the beginning, strange sexual scenes, and too much internal dialogue.
This should be renamed "Victim Blaming: A Novel" because wtfffff
This was a good audio book. It was a little too preachy for my liking. It's a fast paced book. Heat breaking what the main character and other women went through. I love the unconditional love that Michael gives to Angel & that he never gives up.
I was annoyed through the first half of the book probably because I found it predictable but on more reflection I think it is because I prefer strong female characters. In the end I realized I was mistaken about the character and ended up enjoying it more. The things I didn't like (even though I knew it was based on a BIblical story) was the use of all biblical names and and tying them in with characters from the Bible making their behaviors extremely predictable if you have any knowledge of the Bible. The author also used the Biblical method of changing names depending on how a person was viewing another person and that just bugged me. If a man kept calling me different names I would think he was a little off. One a positive note, it was an easy read and does make you think about unconditional love.
