The best way to describe this book is "fast paced goosebumps". I'm not new to reading thriller books, but similar to when I read Mexican Gothic, this book gave me the creepy kind of goosebumps that you don't want to keep around.

This fast paced thriller is about a woman named Lowen Ashleigh who is a struggling writer that takes on the job of finishing a book series by a famous author, Verity Crawford, who has mysteriously fallen ill. I won't spoil anything else about the plot, but I literally finished this book in twelve hours because it was that good. The only thing I wasn't too thrilled about was the amount of sex scenes throughout the book- otherwise the twists and turns are definitely worth rereading for.

This would be the perfect book to read during October, so if you haven't read this, I would definitely add it to the TBR to read during October if you want a 'chill-thrill' (chilling thriller read).

Very dark, very creepy, very suspenseful. Ultimately, the twist at the end wasn’t as twisty as I thought it would be, and I was a little disappointed. The ending filed down all of the spiky edges. It was a wild ride though.

Okay, I don't know how to feel about this book. Did I like it? I think so? Could I put it down? No f'ing way. Of course the writing was phennomenal, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened, both in the manuscript and also between the main characters. I hated Verity (the character) which was obviously the point, and felt so much for Jeremy and his little family. But that ending, holy shit. This might be up there in terms of biggest plots twists I've read in a while. Wowzers. Well done 👏
