i would recommend this to someone who has literally never read any other mystery/thriller book before and also doesn't mind a story being predictable and dull. lucy foley forgive me i don't think we are compatible

Overall I enjoyed this book. Lots of mystery and suspense. It was slow to get to the "action" but, in the end, I felt like that build up was necessary for all the details to unfold. There were just a few too many coincidences to make me love the outcome. I'd read Foley again.
While every twist was predictable fairly early on (for me), it was still entertaining throughout the book so I still recommend this.

Very atmospheric and keeps you guessing. Figured the who dunnit out before I'd have liked to and I'd have liked a little more from the ending but overall it was a great thriller with heavy topics dotted throughout.
