I was craving some good old fashioned paranormal romance and hot dog did this deliver on those early 00s vibes. I kept texting my friend that it felt like I was holding up this snarling full grown woman and loudly going "she seems like she's stinky and I love her". Was it ground breaking? Nah. Did I guess most of the story beats? Yea. Did I have a delightful time and plan on continuing the series as soon as I can get through my other library loans? You better bet your butt yes.

Yk what she was fun. I wouldn’t particularly say I would go back to reread but I definitely enjoyed myself.

This was a re-read. I think I enjoyed it more this time around. The plot really moves this book along. The romance was well fleshed out. Thea and Connall definitely develop a sort of friendship first, which made their romantic feelings that much better.
I think my biggest complaint with this, and it’s totally a personal preference, is the flowery language during intimate moments. Everything in their relationship felt very real (even with the PNR setting), but the second a sexual encountered happened, the prose became very …old YA-ish? It’s hard to explain. It wasn’t cringey per se, but just different from how the main characters actually spoke even in their inner monologue.

Scottish werewolves, do I need to say more? No, but will I? Yes! This was such a fun and adventurous read! I really enjoyed the characters and the magical world that was created. Honestly I was hooked the moment Connall showed up 😂
I honestly don't know what I was expecting when I started reading this book BUT it honestly surprised me.
It was such a great read.

A solid werewolf romance. I was expecting a little more spice and less lore. felt like it could have been a little shorter. But the mystery and the crime was fun to read and I generally really liked all the characters.

I really liked this book. It was a bit long at times but it kept me engaged the whole time. Will read others in series.
