I loved this book and I love these billionaires. Derek and Carly are so perfect for eachother and I loved getting to see them learn that. Derek, at first was not one of my favorite characters. He frustrated me as I waited for him to make a few realizations, but that is part of the fun of the story. This story had a lot of romance and a lot of steam. The chemistry is scorching in this story. I fell so hard for this couple and I absolutely cannot wait to read more from Carly.

Love a great romance where the characters know each other and come back together. It was a nice, quick romance audiobook. I wanted more, but I know that I get more info with the next audiobook in the series.

Derek, the last single man standing in the Blink empire, is about to get a taste of the past. Having struggled to separate himself from an upbringing that made him feel less than, Derek finds the new visit from an old acquaintance intriguing. Well, he's curious but he has no intention of giving in.
Or he didn't. But beauty, brains, and insane chemistry can hit a man while he's not expecting it. It may even lead him to open his mouth before he thinks about it. It might even be safe to say the combining effects of all three could have him putting his mouth in places he never intended to go...
But the past has a way of coming up and family is never far...
Seems like these two might be doomed...Star crossed or wishing up a star, which way will they end up?
It's a fun look on the less talked about of the Blink trio. I love finding out what makes people tick and this gives you plenty of insight on Derek. Cassie isn't too bad either!

Going Down Hard is the third standalone story in the Billionaire Bad Boys series by Carly Phillips. You do not need to have read the previous books in the series to enjoy Going Down Hard. I have always enjoyed everything that I have read from Carly Phillips and Going Down Hard was no exception. She is definitely one of those authors that is an auto-buy for me, because I know that the book will be something that I like.
Going Down Hard is Derek West and Cassie Storm's story. Derek West overcame his poor background to be a powerful player in he tech world. Sexy and confidant, Derek can have any woman he wants. But Derek wants Cassie, the rich girl that has always been out of his reach. But with Cassie desperate to save her family's company, he knows that he can use that to get to her. He plans to use her to to screw her out of his head as well as gain control of her family's company, but once he starts to get close to Cassie he quickly realizes that a taste won't be enough. Cassie's family remembers exactly who he is though, and the last thing that they want is for Cassie to be with Derek. Can Cassie and Derek overcome their pasts and circumstances to find a way to be together, or will there be too many obstacles standing in their way?
I really loved Cassie. She was sweet and caring, and completely genuine. I found her easy to relate to even though we are a lot different, but she was just one of those heroines that you can't help but love. Derek on the other hand was the reason this book wasn't a five star read for me. He had a huge chip on his shoulder and he drove me nuts at times. While I understood some of where he was coming from, I had a hard time with the fact that he was so determined to use Cassie to destroy everything that she loved. He blamed her for things that really didn't have anything to do with her because they were her family's doing and honestly by the time that he eventually got over everything, I was over him.
Overall, this was a good book and I did think that Cassie and Derek had strong chemistry and a connection. But I just wish that Derek had been easier to like for me. He turned things around and I did like the ending, but Cassie was the reason that I kept reading this book when I might have stopped otherwise. Carly Phillips is a great writer and if you are looking for something sweet and sexy, you definitely can't go wrong with her books. While this wasn't my favorite of hers that I have read, I still really enjoyed it and it is worth the read.

Derek is not what I consider your typical billionaire. He worked for every dollar he has made by taking the tech world by storm. The man has a true rags to riches story. He sexy confident and has a set of values that were instilled to him by the best kind of parents. he’s the type of man who can get anything he wants and most of the time does, however his caring heart is filled with passion and compassion.
Cassie is an amazing woman. She strong, compassionate and when she sets her mind to something she goes for it. She’s like the black sheep of her family, she stands out from them. Her family may have money but she doesn’t see things the way they do. She displays passion is everything thing she does. Along with her amazing personality, Cassie is a character you can’t help but to enjoy.
Cassie and Derek are a wonderful couple. People from opposite sides find a way to work throughout their past discretions to find a second chance at what could have been. Carly Phillips never fails to give reader a story they can get lost in. Great paced, passionate and sexy, and fantastic dialogue. A bit of drama with a lot of passion and feeling. A great read.

Cassie and Derek have a history and Derek has a grudge against her family. He was a poor boy turned rich and Cassie was always wealthy. Despite Cassie's rich background, she was such a genuine person and it was impossible not to like her. The sex scenes were hot and I really enjoyed this addition to the series. We got more from the characters in past books and Kendall and Julian's story was set up (I'm dying for it). This was a quality book and a good read.
Past and present collide together in this steamy romance. Derek always had feelings for Cassie, even though he knew they were from opposite sides of the tracks. Fast forward to adulthood and now a billionaire, their paths cross again and family truths come out, but the passion and chemistry the two share cannot be denied. This was a great continuation of the series that I highly recommend. I cannot wait to read more.
You've got to love those redemption stories. Call them star crossed lovers, separation of classes or simply the one who got away... Derek has become the tech genius billionaire and Cassie needs his help for an article. But can they get over the past to move forward? Will something neither of them had control over tear them apart before they can even make a go? Family ties are strong, but attraction and love binds you tightly. This can definitely be read as a stand alone as I've not read the first two in the series, but you can bet I'm going to read them now!
