words could not express how much i love joey and aoife. watching how they grew up and fell deeper and deeper for one another made it all feel so much more genuine and real. the ending of the book made my heart hurt. going back into the world of the lynch family was also difficult.

I thought i would give this book a chance cause i saw a lot of promising bits on tiktok. While i did not finish binding 13 i still wanted to try ( ended the same way lol). I began to read this book and found myself engaged. Even though he was only twelve i was shook with how mature he was and what he had to go through. He truly deserves better and i hope darren rots in the deepest pits of hell :)! Now to the reason I decided not to finish this book. I have read a lot of books where the men are older and i think now going back to reading books where the character is young does not hit the same. While I sympathize with him, i find it uncomfortable to see him talking about girls and describing them as having long legs and an ass. That would have been completely normal if he was older, but twelve? And how their first convo went was equally uncomfy (these kids had more rizz than adults i am telling you). I just always was reminded how young he is like way he fucked himself through the school in his FIRST YEAR? how she already had some guy touch her knickers? Yea no i am 20 and they are like 8 years younger than me no way did i want to imagine kids doing the deed. The final kick off was the pregnancy trope. I did not know she was gonna get pregnant and with him on drugs and shit (drama will come and i am not here for this) cause i know if he does not quit the moment she tells him i will haunt this man. And knowing they are only 18 and becoming parents yea no. It is better for me to stop at this point haha.

Another absolutely stunning book from Chloe Walsh. Joey and Aiofe’s story so far has been amazing. I love them together. Aiofe is such a strong willed character and I love her no nonsense attitude. Joey. Oh Joey. The small snippets I got in Binding & Keeping 13 were enough to make me adore him. Now I wish I could wrap him up in a cozy blanket and tell him everything is going to be ok. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the two of them.
